About Us

Barbell Babes is a clothing company and online community empowering women to lift heavy.

Based out of Washington, D.C., Barbell Babes was founded in February 2014 by Tiffany Klinger. A former CrossFitter and now Olympic weightlifter, she searched the internet for role models and realized the lack of celebration for all body types. Overwhelmed by the amount of booty pictures and six-packs, she created Barbell Babes, a safe space for women of all shapes and sizes. She believes that all women deserve to be celebrated for her accomplishments no matter how far in their fitness journey.

To Tiffany, being a 'Barbell Babe' means to break the norms of society and be proud of who you are. We are all human. Just because you don't look a certain way yet doesn't mean you have to beat yourself up for it.
